Tribal Nail Art!

Hey Chums!

So how are we all? Today I thought I'd take the time to make my nails a little more exciting that just painted. I don't normally do nail art because I do the left hand exactly how I want, and cos I'm right handed, doing my right looks a mess! But oh-well, thought I'd give it a go!

My Tea Tree Range.

Hey Beautiful People!

Today I thought I'd share with you my Tea Tree Range from Superdrug!
*Cleanser & Toner - £3.29     *BB Cream - £3.29     *Exfoliating Cream Wash  - £3.29            *Foaming Facial Wash - £3.29     *Essential Oil 100% - £3.29

*Essential Oil 100% (Left) - This is an oil that helps imperfection and blemish control. I haven't used it in a while, but a few months ago when I was pretty bad with the spots, I purchased this hoping it would reduce them. For a while it did help my face, but soon after it started to irritate my skin. It may sting when it has made contact with the skin, but before you know it, you forget about it. For such a small bottle, I would say it's a bit pricey. However it does work well, and helped reduce my blemishes!
*BB Cream SPF 15 Light (Middle) - This is a great product for when you don't want to apply as much make-up and you just want to quickly apply something to hide your blemishes. This hydrates your skin, giving it a healthy glow! I went for a light shade as I have quite fair skin. As it's quite a thin liquid, it gives an even coverage over your skin, however if you have red areas within the face I would recommend adding loose powder.
*Exfoliating Cream Wash (Right) - Straight away, the size of the bottle is perfect if you were to use it daily as you use quite a bit of it. I would say the best time of day to use this product is the morning, due to it be quite freshening! The broken seashells within the product definitely makes you feel like the product is doing your skin good. Once you've washed away the cream with clean, cold water it leaves your skin feeling smooth. However if you tend to have dry skin after your face has contacted water, I would recommend applying moisturiser straight after.

*Cleanser & Toner (Left) - This is a fab product for freshening your face up before you go to bed and when you wake up. I wouldn't substitute it for a make-up remover but I would still use it after so it can clean you pores out. I would recommend using a cotton pad when applying this to your face due to it being soft yet you can still get to the smaller parts of your face that may have been missed from taking off your make-up.
*Foaming Facial Wash (Right) - I always use this product in the shower without a doubt, as it's easier to wash off. The foamy textile is a nice feel when applying to the face and when washed off it leaves your skin feeling clean and healthy. The best bit of the product is the price, and even though it's the same price as the others, you get your moneys worth better in this product. This is due to when you use it, you hardly need anything but it still covers your whole face.

A Quick Catch Up!

Good Afternoon to you all!

So even though I've already done a post for today, I want to get another one done as I won't have time to do many others! Why, maybe the reason you ask! Well it's two weeks from the start of my exams, so the rush of coursework is full on! I've had a relaxing Holiday (even though it seems to be all over in a flash!), it was great to catch up and spend quality time with the family as well as me having time to write posts for you guys!

Now on the subject of this blog, I'd just like to say a thank you to you guys. Now I know I'm not popular on here or whatever but without you're positive comments I probably would have given up or not written as much as I have! As I've mentioned before, I hate writing, was never a lover of English as a subject at GCSE but me knowing that there are people reading this blog makes me happy! It keeps me motivated to keep writing posts, some days I just want to write a post but I have no idea what, just because I want to share things with you! I hope to keep this blog going for a long time, and I hope you keeping reading! I'm still learning new things about blogging everyday, so I'm open to any advice!

So if you've got any post ideas that you want me to write about whether its a haul, a review, advice or even just a chat of what I've done in that week! I read every comment, and I try my best to reply to each one! Thanks again for reading my blog!

Through the Eyes of Two Bloggers..

Hey you guys!!

So as you know my friend G is staying around mine over night. My parents have gone away so I've got the house to myself! What a great opportunity to have a mate round, pig out and watch Netflix!

So I started my day off with waking up at 9:30, I slipped on my cardi and went downstairs to grab some breakie! I decided to have a toasted bagel, can't beat melted butter on toast. I then made myself a cappuccino which was gorgeous.

I then went for a shower to freshen myself up, ready for the day ahead! I then did my make-up but not my eyes as G was going to do my eye shadow when she got here! I then quickly dried my hair. I did a half up, half down hair do, with the top being braided just so it could be slightly wavy.

G then arrived at mine, and as being two girls the first thing we did was catch each other up with a little bit of gossip. G did my eyeshadow - twice - cos we couldn't get the right colour! To finish my look I did my eye makeup, mascara and eyeliner. We decided to do our OOTD first while the sun was still shining! It was beautiful outside, almost felt like a summers day! So I did 3 outfits; a day look, a typical country look and a summer garden party look (which I'll post over these coming weeks). G had 4 outfits, (which 2 of them are up now!

Soon after, we decided (as keen bloggers!) that we'd put our posts up as soon as possible! We did this while we finished watching Season 2 of Bates Motel on Netflix!
Once this had finished, I put on our dinner...Pizza! Can't go wrong with a pizza, whatever the occasion! Since we heard that Season 2 of Orphan Black had been released, we were so excited to start it! What a better way than watching your favourite series, while eating pizza, having a glass of wine with your best mate! Tops a perfect day!

We carried on through the night having more wine and treats until we came to the end of Orphan Black! What! Finished. What were we going to do! While deciding, we thought we needed waking up so we played a playlist on loud and got up and danced! After getting a little more alert we (well G had already seen it) decided to start watching Gossip Girl! We watched on through the morning until we were fast asleep by 7am!

We didn't wake up until midday! We decided to start our day, well of what we had left, to have a coffee while continuing to watch Gossip Girl! We so needed that caffeine! We were so tired! I prepared a fresh scone for us for breakfast, which was more lunch!

The hours flew by and before we knew it it had turned 3pm! We were getting a little peckish so I decided to cook us some pancakes! There not just for Pancake Day!! Even though the process of making a pancake may seem simple, it didn't to me cos I couldn't get the temperature of the ring right! The first one looked more like an omelet! But one by one they did improve, and by the end they actually looked like a pancake!

I then decided to carry on with this post so I could get it up for up guys tonight! I was too distracted by Gossip Girl! Something that could have taken 10 mins took me nearly a whole afternoon! I'm tired okay! Now even know I said to myself that I was going to grab a fairly early night, that didn't really work with it now being 11pm! By 7pm G went home and I started to tidy up, made myself some dinner and almost fell asleep in front of the TV!

So this is what we did! Two best mates having a good catch up! What have you done this week? Are you on your Easter Holiday?!

Summer/Spring Garden Party Outfit..

Hey friends!

So as you know, as my friend is staying at mine! She has helped me take some photos so I can share with you some outfits! This first outfit, is something I would wear at a Summer Garden Party. I wore it last year at my Uncles Birthday Party in May.

Having a maxi dress is perfect for when it's sunny, but when there's a slight breeze. Adding a denim jacket allows you to still keep warm when the sun sets and there's a slight chill to the air. To finish off the look I would add a cute pair of heels, a handbag and some jewellery!

So I'm giving you a pre-warning of whats to come so you can decided for yourselves whether you want to read them or not!

Those Spring Lookin' Nails..

Hey there!

So it's three days till Easter, and I bet you're looking forward to those Easter Eggs right?! By far my favourite are mini eggs! They taste soo good! But just wait, hold onto that temptation a little longer!

So today I thought I'd do a quick review on a favourite nail vanish of mine.
MUA's Nail Polish - Cherry Blossom...

Firstly can I say, at £1 a bottle this is a fab little purchase and definately worth it if you want a range of colours! In these pictures I have only applied one coat and a clear top coat over the top! Some of MUAs' other colours look better with two, but this one is especially great to wear if you don't have time to do two. I would say, as these are so cheap, they do tend to start chipping away. So if you're the sort of person, who constantly changes the colour of their nails anyway, this shouldn't be too much of a problem! I love the brush on this nail vanish, as it allows me to evenly spread out the nail vanish giving a smooth coating! This nail vanish doesn't take too long to dry so it's perfect if you're in a hurry! Overall I would definately recommend this product if you're on a budget or if you're looking for a cute little gift for you're friends.

New to Driving?!

Hey Buddy!

So how are we all feeling today? On our Easter Holidays?! Finally time to relax, but before you know it, it'll all be over in a flash! So I bet we have a heap load of coursework - revision -  homework don't we? I've started today, it was hard don't get me wrong! So many distractions and zero motivation to get it done!

So hopefully, this will be my last month of driving lessons! Fingers crossed I'll pass my driving test at the start of May, and then I can actually start driving!

So being one of the first to start learning how to drive in your friendship group can be quite daunting as you've got no advice off friends, and you have no idea what you're going into! Okay so I know it's only driving, but when you first get in that car, on a public road it feels kinda of surreal in a way because you've never been in the situation before.

So my first lesson was terrible, who's isn't! I mean, unless you've learnt in your parents car, you will most likely do something wrong! < First lesson > First Junction < I almost crashed into the road sign because I didn't realise how far round you had to turn the wheel! Oops, I definitely learnt from that mistake! On my second lesson, we had to turn right into a side road, but the main road was on a hill and I had to stop because there was an on coming car! Lets just say I hated hill starts from that day on..! There was a queue behind me and I kept rolling back, eventually my instructor took control of the pedals and we carried on driving. Straight after that incident he taught me hill starts, and so far I haven't done any major rolling back!

That's all it is! Practise, Practise, Practise! I'm not saying I'm perfect at driving - far from that - but each lesson I feel so much more confident and aware of how to take control of the car!  At the moment, all I'm really worried about in the test is the manoeuvres! You learn several manoeuvres (most of them are quite similar to each other):

  • Reverse Parking
  • Parallel Parking
  • Three-Point Turn
  • Reversing around a Corner
  • Emergency Stop
  • And a Hill Start!
So for all you new learners reading this, I have 3 pieces of advice for ya...
  1. Don't feel like you're not achieving anything, I've had over 15 hours of lessons and I'm still not ready. It's not something you can learn over a week or even a month, it takes time before you're ready to take the test!
  2. You will make mistakes! You can't be perfect at driving straight away! I'm still stalling the car, but that doesn't matter because you'll learn from your mistakes which helps you get even better!
  3. Have a positive attitude when in your lessons! From about lesson 5-8, I got so bored and I kinda dreaded having the lessons. That will make you drive worse which will lower your self-esteem! Stay positive, because you'll drive better, learn quicker resulting in you passing later on!
Hope this has helped and if you want any more advice or tips feel free to email me or leave a comment:)

Just Another One of These Beauty Hauls...

Hey Chums...

Okay, I've set myself a challenge! What is it you may ask? Well, my beautiful people, I'm going to try and write a post at least twice a week.. I know, I know that isn't much. But for me this is a hard challenge, especially taking the time to come up with an idea and to take the time to write it out! I'm not going to promise all posts will be long and interesting, some may just state what I did that day or how I'm feeling in that current situation! Who knows, it'll be a surprise for all of us!

So today, I decided to do something a little different, outside of my comfort zone. A beauty haul. Don't get me wrong I love things all beauty, can't resist a quick purchase off Superdrug now and again, but I find writing reviews hard! But I'll give it my best shot!

So, as I'm a learner driver at the moment and mum has recently insured her car, she is literally making me drive everywhere! I'm like her taxi driver now ( I may do a post about being new to driving soon!?) which I honestly don't mind because I can even say to myself, that I am improving! I definitely feel a lot more confident on the road and the more and more I practise, the better chance I have of passing my test! Anyway, last Sunday she wanted me to quickly drive her into town as she had to go to the bank! This was a great opportunity to have a sneaky trip to my favourite drugstore, Superdrug! I was meaning to do an order anyways but this was perfect timing allowing me not to wait for a delivery!
Rimmel London - Wake Me Up
Foundation -  £8.99
So I've being meaning to buy a foundation for so long because I just haven't found one that suits my skin! My skin can be an absolute bitch sometimes! My skin is the sort of skin where you feel you have to keep moisturising it 24/7! Having quite dry skin can be quite annoying when you want to wear concealer or foundation because your skin just instantly looks dry and horrible. In previous months, my skin has been in particular been bad so all I wear is concealer to hide those blemishes and lose powder! I mean it's not a bad thing, but it doesn't stay on all day and by lunch time the powder has gone and I've got to re-do the make-up. Anyways, this past month my skin has improved so much, and I've decided to start wearing foundation again. I've read many reviews and blogs about what (affordable) foundations are best for dry skin and Rimmels, Wake Me Up seems to be a popular one! Even though it's a higher end product, it' s still affordable and definitely worth the money. Even before I've applied it to the face, instantly it smells quite fruity which is an added bonus to the foundation! When applying it, it doesn't dry instantly allowing you to have time to apply an even coverage. This is quite a thin foundation so for evenly skin toned people, you won't find it a problem, however I'd recommend applying some concealer underneath if parts of your face are red or you have blemishes. I applied some lose powder over the top, and now as it's coming near to the end of the day, I can say that the makeup has stayed on and my skin doesn't look dry at all! Overall, this was a great purchase, I'd definitely recommend it as a light foundation and has been great for my dry skinned, however it's not the best for oily skins.
MUA - Define Lengthening
Mascara - £1

My Second product is a mascara. Now whenever I go into Superdrug I always seems to buy a new mascara! I love testing out new mascaras and this one was definitely worth it! This one is a lengthening mascara, and honestly it does that! It's amazing, and at £1 - YES £1 I SAID- I wasn't expecting it! MUA is a fab brand, and I can always reply on their products at such a cheap price!

Collection - Fast Stroke
Eyeliner - £2.99

The next product I purchased was Collections Eyeliner. My sister recommended this too me as I hadn't found an eyeliner that had an easy applying thin brush and that didn't flake off through the day! This eyeliner is great giving a defined, thin look which was very easy and quick to apply! I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a cheaper eyeliner but yet still gives a professional finish!

MUA - Lipstick -Shade 7 - £1

This next product is slightly out of my comfort zone in terms of what beauty products I normally buy.. I decided to get a lipstick as I don't actually have one ~ well apart from a deep red which I never use as it doesn't suit my skin tone~ I am normally a lip balm, maybe a lip gloss kind of girl as my lips can get quite dry and chapped at times. So wearing a lip stick is some what new to me?! I've worn this a few times now and I love it! It keeps my lips moisturised and gives off a great colour. It has a slight shimmer to it which is ideal if you're popping out to the shops yet you still want quite a natural finish!

Superdrug Tropical Cocktail
Peel-Off Mask - £0.99

My final product is a Face Mask! I love a face mask! Great for your skin and makes you feel so relaxed after a long time! Superdrug offer a great range of face masks from Self-Heated to Mud Masks to Peel-Offs like this one. Peel-off masks are great if you don't want to create too much of a mess or if you're in a hurry! The smells off the face masks are divine and each one is completely different to suit different tastes.

So yeah, that was my beauty haul! Hope it was enjoyable to read and hope they were some useful reviews. If you want me to do more, leave me a comment?! Maybe suggestions to try out a product and I'll write a review on it?! Who knows!

Thank you so much for reading!:)
